Islander Architects was created to challenge the conventions of architectural practice, placing climate advocacy and material stewardship at the heart of every project.

We operate at the intersection of architectural design, material research, and climate advocacy.

We view the built environment as a dense network of existing histories, resources, and community potential.

As recipients of the RIAI Best Emerging Practice Award and the Irish candidate for the International UIA Young Architects Prize, we occupy a unique space in the Irish landscape. Our practice has a strong track record of securing highly competitive funding, including Creative Ireland’s Creative Climate Action Funds II and III.

Our shopfront studio makes the craft and process of architecture visible to our community. This transparency is central to our practice; we engage directly with the public, host workshops, and maintain an open dialogue about our built environment.

Islander Architects are led by Laura Carroll & Ciarán Molumby who also lecture at the School of Architecture, Building and Environment, TU Dublin.
